Hey, π© !
Hey "π©" !
Yes, YOU!
π© sounds very unfavorable as an English nickname, but it means "crab π¦" in Thai, and a common one too. So donβt feel weird when you hear it on the streets in Bangkok.
People are usually nicknamed after very weird things given by their parents and some adopt aliases given to them by friends, and oftentimes, they are not related to their official names.
Some people even have porn (blessing), tid/tit (as part of Tidporn or Titporn), nΕn (worm), Γ»an (Fat), moo (π·),trees π³, ice βοΈ, and donuts π© as nicknames. If the nickname is edible, then it means it's what the mom enjoyed while she was pregnant carrying the child.
This is probably why I LOVE traveling.
You learn that nothing is REALLY the norm, and anything is right with the appropriate context.
Anything is possible, and nothing is too whacky to exist.
Thailand is one such magical place.
